3. That the University of Wollongong Liberal Club call on the State Government to privatise CityRail on the conditions that:
a) That the State Government lease all property and assets within the CityRail group on a annual contractual basis;
b) That any contract contain major KPIs in relation to on-time running with the provision that the Government will reserve the right to terminate the contract if over a 2 month period 90% of serves are not running on time;
c) That concessions concerning the disabled and students (including international students) be maintained; and
d) That pensioner concession travel tickets be abolished and replaced by a system that reflects a user pays principle with pension travel tickets not to cost more than $10
It is further recommended that the University of Wollongong Liberal Club encourage the expansion of the privatised light rail network.
4. That the University of Wollongong Liberal Club condemn the Member for Kiama and Parliamentary Secretary for Roads Matt Brown MP for failing to deliver to the people of Kiama a fully completed Kiama by-pass including on/off ramps.
