February 2007: 0-Week & Week-1 Membership Surge Membership of the UOW Liberal Club surged to new heights on 0-Week and Week-1, and was clearly the most popular political club on campus, signing up many times the the number of students then all of the others combined. The Liberal Club lowered it's membership fees to only $2 for 2007, and sold more memberships then the Labor club could give away for free. Whilst the Liberal club was having a members BBQ, and actively signing up members, the Labor desk was abandoned due to lack of student interest, with a Labor club representative only coming over for the photo-op. "UOW students clearly see the UOW Liberal Club as being the most active and relevant political club on campus, and this shows through our increase in members" stated UOW Liberal Club President Brad Winton.
