Combined Liberal Forum and UOW Liberal Club Drinks
It was a Friday night with friends, James Hollman - club president, Gareth Ward . Club patron, Brad Winton - Club Secratary and a number of University of Wollongong Liberal Club members spent the night rubbing shoulders with business people, lawyers and politicians from councillors to MP.s including the Hon. Joe Hockey MP, Federal Minister for Human Services and Member for North Sydney, The Hon. Don Harwin MLC, Opposition Whip in the NSW Legislative Council and the Hon. Patricia Forsythe MLC, Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Opposition, the Attorney General Hon Philip Ruddock MP even made an appearance.
Far from ending at 8pm, those that had the stamina mingled well into the night. For those that missed this event, be assured that it was only the first of many to come and I encourage you to join us next time. |

Monday, 9 May 2005: UOW Liberal Club holds Annual General Meeting The UOW Liberal Club today held its 2005 AGM. The meeting was a great success, with a high turnout of members. On the agenda was the election of office bearers, a number of policy motions, acceptance of club patrons, and life membership for Gareth Ward. The election was chaired by The Hon. Don Harwin MLC, and was observed by the Presidents of the UOW Oxfam Club and the UOW Toastmasters Club. |

November 2005: UOW Liberals join the Pittwater bi-election campaign  |  | The set of the Summer Bay surf club from Home & Away | Palm Beach Ducks: No match for the UOW Duckpond Lawn | After the resignation of John Brogden from the NSW seat of Pittwater, Paul Nicolau was endorsed as the Liberal candidate for the seat. Although the Liberals where unsuccessful on the day, our club members gained valuable campaign experience. |
